Our announcement...

After years of prayer, many routes pursued, God has faithfully decided to give us a baby boy in His gracious time! We will be adopting a little boy due to be born June 8, 2009. His name will be Owen Baxter Hervey. We chose the name Owen, because the meaning of this name is “desire born”. For those of you who have spoken with us lately or been around us, you know that being parents is a huge desire of ours. Baxter is derived from Richard Baxter, an old Puritan.

God orchestrated this in His perfect way, and after so many different events, a dear friend, Krista Zorichak, who works with a ministry called “Love Them Both”, took our file and gave it to the perfect person. She gave it to Owen’s birth mom. His birth Mom is an answer to our prayers. We praise God for her.

Our desire with Owen is to raise him up in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Our prayer is that he will walk with God and love Jesus more than anything.

Surfing would be fun too.
